Sculptra

Gradual, collagen-led volume restoration.

A poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator that works with the body to gradually rebuild its own collagen, restoring volume and structure over time rather than all at once.

Clinical specifics for this treatment (timing, downtime, sessions) are confirmed during your consultation.

Collagen, rebuilt

Sculptra doesn’t fill. It rebuilds.

Unlike traditional filler, Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, a biostimulator that works beneath the surface to gradually rebuild your skin’s own collagen. Results build slowly, which is exactly what makes them look natural and last for years rather than months.

What it treats

  • Gradual facial volume loss
  • Overall skin structure and firmness

How it works

Sculptra stimulates the body’s own collagen production over a series of sessions, producing volume improvement that builds gradually rather than immediately.

Who may be suitable

Patients seeking gradual, longer-arc volume restoration; discussed in detail during consultation.

Benefits

  • Results build progressively for a natural look
  • Addresses collagen loss at its source

It always starts with a consultation: a skin analysis, your history and your goals, with Dr. Kerline Marcelin, before anything is booked. How a first visit works →

  1. 1

    Week 1

Mild swelling or bruising at injection sites is common and typically short-lived. Any initial fullness you see is mostly from the injection fluid, not the actual result. This is the quietest phase — the real work is just getting started beneath the surface.

  2. 2

    Weeks 4–6

The Sculptra has fully absorbed, and your body starts responding to the biostimulator. Many clients say this is when a second session is typically scheduled. Visible change is usually still subtle at this stage — that’s expected, not a delay.

  3. 3

    Weeks 8–12

Collagen rebuilding is underway, and many clients begin noticing improved skin quality and volume. A third session (if planned) often falls in this window, depending on your individual treatment plan.

  4. 4

    Months 4–6

This is typically when the full effect of a completed treatment series becomes visible. Skin often looks and feels more supported, with a natural, gradual improvement rather than a sudden change. Because it built slowly, it tends to age with you rather than looking like “work was done.”
