Acne Scarring
Textural scarring left behind by past breakouts.
What you may notice
- Shallow pitting or "ice-pick" scars
- Textural unevenness after breakouts clear
- Scarring that catches the light differently than surrounding skin
The right treatment — and whether you're a good candidate for it — is always confirmed during a consultation.

About acne scarring
Acne scarring is the textural change left behind once breakouts clear: shallow pitting or “ice-pick” scars, and scarring that catches the light differently from the skin around it.
The treatments for it rebuild and resurface. Morpheus8 carries radiofrequency energy beneath the skin through microneedling to stimulate new collagen and elastin. Venus Viva resurfaces with NanoFractional radiofrequency and is used for acne, surgical and trauma scars. Chemical peels, matched in strength to your skin, address acne and acne scarring by exfoliating the outer layers.
Which of these suits you — often more than one, sequenced over time — is confirmed with Dr. Marcelin at your consultation.
How we approach it
Tell us what you notice
Start with what you see in the mirror, not a treatment name — that’s what this page is for.
We confirm it in consultation
Dr. Marcelin evaluates your anatomy and skin to confirm what’s actually driving the concern.
You get a plan, not a menu
Often one concern is addressed by a combination of treatments, sequenced over time.
